Memorial Day

Saturday morning, I headed out early to Los Angeles National Cemetery in Westwood because I wanted to photograph the tombstones with all the American flags that are put up every year at this time. Upon my arrival, I was disappointed that there were no flags. Then I noticed that a large group of Boy Scouts had gathered to begin placing the flags on the soldier's graves. As I got closer, I could hear that each Boy Scout would stop to salute and honor those who sacrificed their lives for America by saying, "Thank you for your service to our country."

Cool Photo Shoot

It was interesting and exciting to capture the installation of palm trees onto a second-story deck at a condo development. The trees were lifted to the pool deck by a large crane. These images are part of an ongoing project for a landscape design company.
