Pacific Northwest

While visiting the Pacific Northwest this week, my sons had the opportunity to see snow falling for the first time in their young lives. We were in the Deschutes National Forest near Bend, Oregon when it started snowing, and the excitement on my sons' faces was contagious. We had a great time in the snow before heading northeast to Spokane, Washington. The oversized Radio Flyer wagon downtown was a BIG hit with the kids.

The Blue Beet

My friend Domenic Priore, author of "Smile: The Story of Brian Wilson's Lost Masterpiece", put together a show at The Blue Beet in Newport Beach last Sunday. It was a launch party for "Dumb Angel" Magazine, a pop surf culture/1960s style publication. I photographed the event, including sets by The Boardwalkers, The Ghastly Ones, and Billy Hinsche - a Beach Boys collaborator and contributor to the 1968 psychedelic surf film soundtrack for "Follow Me". It was a great show and a lot of fun to photograph. If you'd like to see a slideshow of more images, go to the following site:
