Merry Christmas!

Best wishes to everyone for a Very Merry Christmas! While I realize that we don't all agree on spiritual matters, as a Christian, this day represents the birth of the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. Wise men (and women) still seek Him.

Language School

This mural at El Marino Language School in Culver City depicts both Latin and Asian cultures. That's because the school offers students the choice of learning Spanish or Japanese in an Immersion program that teaches them to speak, understand, read and write in the target language. As I photographed the school for their new website, I was amazed at the ability of elementary school children to use their new language skills in the classroom. This is a program that should be offered at all schools.

Event

It was a pleasure to photograph the recent Grand Opening of the Huntington Hospital's new West Tower. The $100 million expansion is part of the hospital's mission to "help maintain the good health of our community."

Leaves

I've been so busy that this blog has been neglected, so it's time to get back into the groove here. I have to laugh when people say that we just don't get great colors in California in the fall. Really? This detail of beautiful leaves is in my own backyard.
