Memorial Day

Saturday morning, I headed out early to Los Angeles National Cemetery in Westwood because I wanted to photograph the tombstones with all the American flags that are put up every year at this time. Upon my arrival, I was disappointed that there were no flags. Then I noticed that a large group of Boy Scouts had gathered to begin placing the flags on the soldier's graves. As I got closer, I could hear that each Boy Scout would stop to salute and honor those who sacrificed their lives for America by saying, "Thank you for your service to our country."
